The health of your body depends on the health of your cells, which in turn depends on the quality of lymph circulation. Your lymphatic system is filtering and removing waste products from your body. It is also delivering white blood cells to areas that need them for healing.
Without your lymphatic system, your cardiovascular and immune systems would begin to shut down. When the fluid in your lymphatic system is thick and sluggish with toxins, your muscles don’t get the blood they need, your organs feel painful and tight, and your energy levels are low.
The healthy functioning of the lymphatic system can be hindered or stopped by stress, chemical overload including food additives, sport injuries, weak veins, lack of activity and over activity. These factors cause the cleansing process to slow down. This toxic buildup results in soft and connective tissue inflammation which contributes to ailments like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and a multitude of immune system disorders. Edema, the swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues is a sure sign that the transport capacity of the lymph system is being challenged. The lymph system is a naturally slow system and slows down even more when there is an excess of work for it to do. Lymph drainage helps the lymph system move at it's optimal rate so that it can catch up with the challenges of bigger jobs. It is a little like hiring someone to help you do a deep cleaning in your home. When the lymph is stimulated with manual lymph drainage it helps the lymph system be more thorough in its cleansing duties.
If your lymph gets congested you might experience tiredness, stiffness in the morning or stiffness that moves around the body. Lactic acid is the natural bi-product of burning energy in the body. When the oxygen level in the body is normal, carbohydrate breaks down into water and carbon dioxide but when the oxygen level is low, carbohydrate breaks down into lactic acid. Oxygenate your cells by moving but keep in mind that a rigorous exercise uses a lot of oxygen creating a low oxygen environment which is why you get a lot of that stiff achy feeling after a work out. You are stronger for it but the lymphatic system has to work hard to clear it and may take a day to catch up.
1. Fatigue / Low Energy. Making up for a lack of energy with stimulants like caffeine or sugar only worsen the problem in the long run, these beverages usually act to burden the liver, further exacerbating the problem. Colon cleanses and detoxification program can help you cleanse, releasing stored up toxins, helping you feel lighter. A detox can help you flush out the things that are preventing you from feeling energetic.
2. Constipation / Bloating. There is a great network of lymph in the gut because of the handling of waste there.
3. Brain Fog/Unable to Focus. The lymph joins in with the cerebral spinal fluid to circulate in the brain.
4. Rashes, bruises or acne. 70% of the lymph is very superficial, just under the skin and is in charge of keeping the skin clear
A candida cleanse can restore health by ridding your body of excessive candida fungus. Candida is naturally occurring in the body, but can get out of balance from the foods we eat. Candida growth can cause congestion and make it difficult to recover from illnesses.
Toxins have a way of nestling into the body and can remain there unless acted upon by an exerted effort of diet and other forms of detox including lymph drainage.
